Our client, a leading dermatology practice, is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with a dermatologist, support a wide range of clinical procedures, and play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences.

Suitable candidates will have previous experience in handling human biopsies and procedures to assist dermatologists; OR nursing experience would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the local and overseas referrals processes with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Keep all patient-related parties informed throughout each stage of care.
  • Respond promptly to emails and queries from patients and clinicians.
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms.
  • Prepare biopsy kits and assist during procedures, including suture removals.
  • Take ownership of the patient biopsy process, ensuring samples and records are handled correctly.
  • Track, manage, and order medical supplies for exam rooms and the overall office.
  • Update and maintain patient notes in the online software system.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Registered Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant, or equivalent healthcare qualification.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in a medical setting.
  • Experience with specimen handling.
  • Experience assisting with procedures, preferably with experience performing suture removal.
  • Strong background in postoperative and/or wound care, ideally in surgical or outpatient environments.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (MediLab experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient education skills.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining the highest clinical and ethical standards in patient care.
